Another project completed: Anasazi Dream

Yesterday morning when I got up I was determined that by the end of the day I would have completed the stitching of Anasazi Dream and I am happy to report that I have done just that, last evening to be precise. By that time though it was too late to take photos, it was dark outside and I also was too tired.

So guess what I have been doing this morning? Taking lots of photos!

This first photograph shows the different stitches that are inside the big “M”. There are 3 smaller versions of the double Fan stitch using Elegance E825 with side stitches made with Kreinik 007

and on the following photo, we can see a section of the Double fan that is in the center of the piece, a bit lower there are 3 smaller double fans, then in light green a series of diagonal tied down oblong crosses and right in the center there is a little Amadeus stitch

and at both extremeties of the design wean see a Walneto stitch inside a two color band

and in the following photo a close-up showing this Walneto stitch and inside it another Double Fan stitch has been added. Again we can see the little Amadeus stitch just over that band and also a composite stitch that makes it looks like it is rug fringes

and since I love this Walneto stitch so much, I took another photo showing it sideway as it gives a much better idea as to how it really looks

Carole says that this design can be hang either vertically or horizontally, so have added a view showing both ways

and on this final photograph, I have lowered my camera angle so that we can see a bit more depth

I am not entirely sure how this project will be finished. I normally have my husband bring it to our framer so that she can do her magic, but in this case I have a nice cabaret that I might be able to use for it. Up to now I have not had the time to examine it properly to see if there are room enough between the top of the stitched canvas and the glass that will cover it. If I can determine that there are enough room, then I will no doubt go that way.

Carole also recommends to choose a medium green mat to put under since there are quite a bit of open canvas or perhaps a green satin fabric.

During this weekend I have quite a bit of work to do, a bit of catching up with things, also a bit of reading for my two upcoming cyberclasses and the weather is finally back to being lovely outside, so I will no doubt be spending a bit of time in the garden too.
